Sports Premium
At Berkswell CE Primary School, we are committed to providing high-quality Physical Education and sporting opportunities for all pupils. The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality of PE, sport and physical activity, ensuring that all children develop the skills, confidence and enjoyment needed to lead healthy, active lives.
We use our PE and Sport Premium funding to:
- Enhance the quality of teaching and learning in PE.
- Provide staff with specialist training and professional development.
- Increase participation in a wide range of sports and physical activities.
- Offer opportunities for pupils to take part in competitions, festivals and sporting events.
- Promote healthy lifestyles and positive attitudes towards physical activity.
- Develop pupils' confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership skills.
- Ensure all children, regardless of background or ability, can access and enjoy sporting opportunities.
Our aim is to create a lasting legacy by embedding a culture of physical activity throughout the school and equipping pupils with the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to remain active throughout their lives.
