At Berkswell CE Primary School, we believe that a school uniform promotes a sense of belonging, pride and equality within our school community. We are committed to ensuring that our uniform is both practical and affordable for families whilst maintaining the high standards that support a positive learning environment.
In line with recent changes introduced through the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026, our uniform policy has been carefully reviewed to minimise costs for families and provide the best possible value for money.
The legislation limits the number of compulsory branded items that schools can require, helping parents to purchase many uniform items from a range of retailers rather than specialist suppliers. This ensures that children can look smart and feel part of our school community without placing unnecessary financial pressure on families.
